The major discussion topics became the issues on development of the retail trade and application of new advanced technologies in merchandising management.
 On behalf of SERVICE PLUS the following persons took part in the action: Vadim Galimov -Head of SERVICE PLUS Software Department, Igor Shulepov – Head of Representative Office in Vladivostock, Denis Konyaev – Head of Department for Automation of Fast Food Restaurants. They made presentations devoted to “Automation of modern retail. Past and Future Technologies”, “A shop with POS terminals” and “Automation of public catering enterprises”
Representatives of SERVICE PLUS discussed the perspectives of market development in the Primorye, tendencies of the local market development (as well as touch points with European markets), such as: influence of increase of the population solvency on demand for nonfoods – first of all on building materials, household goods, footwear, garments, medicines, perfumery, sportswear, baby products. The problem of whether the local retail development scheme corresponds to a European model: “Supermarket – discounter - discounter chain - supermarket chain-hypermarket – hypermarket chain – discounter chain” has also been considered.
According to Vadim Galimov: “Local market is still on its food retail development stage". There are supermarkets, discounters, C&C, but the non-food sector is going to develop in the most nearest future. Now we can already observe the growth of consumer goods and footwear markets. That means, that in the next year one can look forward for garments and footwear retailer chains, large shopping centres, hypermarkets and availability of such trading formats as “neighbourhood stores” and “DIY”.
The reporters and listeners have seriously discussed the issues of regional retail, possibilities to eliminate human errors and the necessity to utilize modern technological know-how at the current stage of retail trade development in the region.
In conclusion, the SERVICE PLUS officials gave an interview to mass media. The local media showed interest to the issues discussed and those enterprises, which have been already using such systems in the Primorye and have a real commercial interest.
